🎭✨ LLT Ends Season with a Dramedy! 🎬💥

From May 2nd to the 11th, Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) will end its stellar 60th season with Beth Wohl’s Tony-nominated play, Grand Horizons.

The at-times humorous but quite poignant production deals with the charged conversations that ensue after an elderly couple decides to divorce after 50 years of apparently blissful marriage. When their children arrive hoping to dissuade them, everyone must confront important truths about themselves, marriage and life.

“There are comedic moments,” assured director Suki O’Brien, “but this play explores enduring, serious themes of aging, second chances, and the search for happiness. It is deeply thought-provoking. The cast and crew are really excited to bring this amazing script to life.”

Playbill agreed: Grand Horizons is…a hilarious, heartbreaking commentary on marriage, family, and the wisdom that comes with age—or not. Bursting with all the joy and pathos of everyday life, [it] is theatre at its most enjoyable and familiar.”

The New York Times praised Wohl’s play as well: …“…[a] clever truth bomb of a play…[a] terrific comedy…a powerful argument for the full humanity of women in our culture—a matter that’s not as settled as we might like to think.”

The LLT production will feature accomplished actors Diana Rowland, Maloy Murdock, Mark Nichols, Brian Fuqua, Debra Felix, Bradley Felix, and Sharon Jarvis.
